"Mermaid Ascending" is  Annie's latest 16"x20" canvas.  This painting is a vivid underwater scene dominated by a mermaid's tail in the foreground.  The tail is pink with purple scales rising from foamy waves.  Behind the tail, a woman's head with wavy, reddish brown hair that flows outward blending with the green/blue waves and starry sky.
The painting is framed with a decorative border featuring red fish and blue wave motifs on a yellow and blue backdrop.
