Santa's taking a well-deserved vacation and is loving this Beach, are you ready for a New Year?
I was very happy to say good bye to 2020 and was looking forward to the end of 2021 until I realized that next year is pronounced "2020 too". Oh well, we'll see what next year throws at us and we'll deal with it.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Whatever you celebrate, I hope you had or have a great one.
New Year, new look to the website. We met with our web chick, Lisa, on Monday to make some adjustments to anniemara.com so she's working on the changes now. We will be adding some new products and discontinuing some others. Please let us know if you have any suggestions on new items you'd like Annie to try or how we can make the website better.
Annie is going to start blogging from the website and we will provide links to her blog posts as well as her weekly poem. It will probably take a couple weeks until you'll notice some of the changes. Check out Annie's first blog post here "The Evolution of Anniemara". See next week's blog for "The Legend of the Dreamcatcher".
Annie will be celebrating a milestone birthday next week, the big Seven Oh. We'll celebrate it on the Cape (Cape Cod, not Cape Fear).
Annie's poem this week is, again, in the wisdom of the river.
A Christmas Week Message From the River
I heard the whisper in the wind
as it white-capped the river.
You cannot fight the tide
or the phases of the moon.
You cannot stop the seasons.
The beginnings, the endings as well.
Take a lesson from the sea gulls.
They simply ride the wind
They never struggle.
The storms will always be sudden,
fierce and frightening
but they will eventually give way
to the holiness of hope.
You have but one chance to live,
so take it.
That's it for this week. Have a happy and healthy New Year.
Stay safe and shop small, shop local and shop online (but only small biz).
Frank and Annie
