Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
It's Black (and Blue) Friday but, if you're not up for a swim to your favorite container ship today, why not keep it local? Local artists and shops are not anchored off the coast waiting to off-load their goods.
Our Holiday Tour continues tomorrow, which also happens to be Small Business Saturday, by returning to our roots at The Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River for Spindle City Fest. Annie had a studio for 4 1/2 years at the Narrows just a week after retiring from teaching.
December kicks off with Annie jumping in her way-back machine (not the ocean to visit her favorite container ship) to go even further back to her roots by participating in the 45th Annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair at Durfee H.S. in Fall River on the 4th and 5th. Annie taught English at Durfee for 35 years and retired in 2008 when Annie's Artifax was launched. Annie's Artifax became Annie's Unique Boutique in 2013 and Anniemara was born in 2020. So, who's gonna come and say hello to Granny Annie sometime in the next few weeks?
If you can't make it to one of our events, please visit our website www.anniemara.com. FEDEX (Frank's Excellent Delivery Experience) will deliver,FREE, if you're within 10 miles of us here in Somerset. I will be making deliveries right up until Christmas Eve and, even if you are a little outside the 10 mile radius, I have met customers in a parking lot to make deliveries. Call me at 774-488-9844 and we'll try to accomodate your schedule.

Annie's poem this week is a play-by-play recap of her daily show by the birds at the feeder on the balcony just outside her studio.
Breakfast time in Birdtown
It's breakfast time in Birdtown
And everyone is here.
There's twittering and chirping
And squawking, loud and clear.
The mourning doves are standing guard
while their children flutter and hop.
The angry jays are pecking their way
as the seeds softly scatter and drop.
The chickadees prefer the deck,
much happier away from the crowd
They're too polite to join the fight
Keeping their tiny heads bowed.
And then, suddenly, it's all over.
What is it that calls them away?
They leave in a pack, but I know
they'll be back.
They have so much to do in a day.
That's it for this week. Stay safe and shop small, shop local and shop online (but only small biz).
Frank and Annie
