Due to Covid 19, the store is closed except for curbside pickup but our website is ready for your retail therapy. Regular hours will resume as soon as allowed.

Just a note of thanks to all of the well wishers after the email on Wednesday announcing that we're gonna keep it going right here at the 1049. A special thanks to Liz, Paula, Robin and Elizabeth who not only checked out our website but also placed orders on the website Wednesday night and Thursday. 2 of the 4 orders have already been picked up at curbside.

Have you checked out our website yet? Don't make me release the Murder Hornets. Wow,what's next this year? Land sharks? I added more items to the website this week including the items you see in the consignment section of this newsletter. I am not adding all of the consignment items to the website, but I will include a few more items each week that will stay on the website until they are sold or donated.

We are hoping to be able to open on, or shortly after, May 18th which means that we will also be able to start taking consignment items again. I bet you've got some items you'd like to make a few bucks on from when you cleaned out your closet since the stay home order was issued.

I'm working on another announcement for next week with the steps we will take for your, and our, safety when we are able to re-open. My weekly newsletters have always been written in a tongue-in-cheek fashion to add a little humor to our stressful lives, even before Covid 19, and I plan on continuing that format. There are, however, some more serious aspects of running this business so I will continue, from time to time, to put out certain information in a more serious tone.

That's a wrap for this week. In the meantime, stay safe, think big and shop small. And, don't forget to support your local restaurants and order take-out a couple times a week.
