According to Holidayinsights.com today is Name Yourself Day. I was going to name myself President by executive order, but Biden wouldn't give up the pen. Tomorrow is National Siblings Day so we'll celebrate that instead. I, personally, don't have any siblings, just ask my sister and 2 brothers. This pic was taken many years ago when we wanted to make our mom feel taller - so we all took a knee (except mom).
It's only 4 weeks til Mother's Day and you get another chance to make your mom feel taller. We still have some inventory left of Inis products but when it's gone, we won't be able to re-stock. Don't wait for last minute. Don't forget, If you are within 10 miles of us, I deliver with no charge.
Mark your calendars, we have just scheduled a "Pop Up" for Sunday April 25th at Auclair's Market 145 County St. right here in Somerset. We will be there from noon - 5PM with Annie's Jewelry, artwork and Inis products. Timing is perfect for some Mother's Day gift items.
Don't forget about our Pop Up at The Cheese Wheel in Tiverton on Sunday May 2nd (the Sunday before Mother's Day). Our friends Bill and Diana Bothelo, owners of The Cheese Wheel Village Market in Tiverton RI, have invited us to set up at their beautiful new store at 3838 Main Rd. We haven't set a time yet but we'll let you know soon.
We have been cleared to "Pop Up" at Somerset Tours and Travel now located at 103 Swansea Mall Dr.(in the space vacated by Liberty Travel). Somerset Tours and Travel used to be our neighbors across from our boutique on County St. until they suffered a devastating fire a few years ago. Now that we're able to travel again, check 'em out and support a local small business that has survived in spite of the curveballs thrown at them. Thank you Kate. We haven't set a date for the "Pop Up" yet but we'll let you know as soon as we do.
Coincidentally, the "Pink Bag" consignment shop is right next door to Somerset Tours and Travel and I had actually gone to talk to Sophie at the Pink Bag last week. Since closing our store last November, we have had a number of phone calls (from people who were unaware that we had closed) and I would tell them about "The Pink Bag" but I didn't know if they were still open or not. Great News!!! The Pink Bag is open and thriving so to any of our customers who like to shop consignment or former consignors looking for a place to consign your women's clothing items, click on this link to their Facebook page and check 'em out.
Our "Pop Ups" are similar to a solo craft show where we'll set up a table with some of Annie's jewelry, gifts and artwork including the notecards. We would not be imposing on the business frequently and it could be just once a month or even every other month. During the good weather, we could even set up outside. If you know any small business owners that might be willing to talk to us about it, please let me know.
Here is Annie's poem of the week,
A day must end in order to begin again.
I think about this when darkness descends.
As the sun surrenders to the inky sky,
the quiet time begins.
I always hope I will find the stars
winking and ready for wishing.
Everything living can rest now
wrapped in a blanket of peaceful hope
that the world will be kinder tomorrow.
Stay safe and shop small, shop local and shop online (but only small biz). Say goodnight Shorty.
Frank and Annie
