Boutique Hours: Mon - Sat 10:00am - 5:00 ish,
Sunday Closed except by appointment
Jules Verne went around the world in 80 days 148 years ago. We went around in circles for 76 days (that felt like 148 years) but we finally got the OK to re-open to customers on Monday.
So far, it has gone pretty much as I expected with 4 to 6 customers coming in each day. Friday and Saturday were always our busiest day so we'll see what happens today and tomorrow. Regardless of how many customers come in, I don't see any social distancing issues coming up since we can accommodate up to 14 people being in the store at the same time. I doubt that we will have 14 people in the store throughout the course of the day and, even if we did, they wouldn't all be here at the same time. It's going to take a while for people to get used to going out again but, whenever you're ready, we'll be ready.
You may or may not notice a subtle little difference in this week's newsletter vs the usual weekly newsletter. We got a new shipment from one of our vendors in NYC on Wednesday but it didn't arrive until Wednesday afternoon so it kind of threw off our schedule, all of these items are manufactured in Italy. You will see the items in the "New Fashion" section of this newsletter but there will be no links for you to be able to order from the website because I didn't have time to upload them to the website. They will be on the website sometime in the next couple days but you can still order the items by calling me at 774-488-9844 or replying to this newsletter.
We have 5 consignors who have called to make an appointment (3 on Friday and 2 on Saturday) to consign items. We only made 2 changes to our consignment policy to accommodate the "New Normal". We reduced the number of items consigners can bring in from 25 to 20 and we now only take consignment in by appointment. Appointments are made on the hour 10AM thru 4PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
I want to thank all of you who have been visiting our website and either placing orders from the website or calling us to order items you've seen in these newsletters or in our Facebook posts. Shorty continues to be our best sales babe by selling 2 kimonos and 2 dresses to customers who saw her posts on Facebook this week.
If you haven't checked out our website https://www.anniesuniqueboutique.com/ yet, please give it a shot. Keep in mind that it is a work-in-progress, it's tough to teach an old dinosaur new tricks so I continue to make changes to the website in an effort to make it as user-friendly as possible. Please call or email me if you have any problems with the website and, if there is something that you think we should change, let me know and we'll do our best to change it.
We will continue to offer shipping via USPS, curbside pickup and, if you spend $50 or more and live within 10 miles of us, I'll deliver the goods myself.
That's a wrap for this week. In the meantime, stay safe, think big and shop small. And, don't forget to support your local restaurants and order take-out a couple times a week. Welcome back.
